Al-Egre_Arn asks: Was there a specific reason why existing, new Staff of the Nomads were not updated graphically? The new staff was only in-game for a month or two before this patch upgraded the graphics on them. Yet, existing ones weren't updated.
srand: Any SotN that has the new stats should also have the new art. We didn't change the art on the old version for reasons mentioned above, but the new version was meant to have the new art -- it just got delayed a month.
However, there are apparently some interesting issues with changing the model of an existing wand, as can be seen with the Niffis Pearl. So you may be running into these issues. You may also just need to re-hook your SotN to get the art to change.
Rilen asks: Hmm... Only one Gem left, and I dont know the answer to the riddle for mage armor upgrade!
Orion: Now my question is: How many of you actually figured out the answers on your own and how many just used trial and error?
ElgarL asks: Please take a look at a couple of monsters! The rebalancing was a very good thing for AC. It made monster levels actually mean something and the hunting areas now make sense too. Although there are a few that I believe need some tweaking.
Plated and Armored Tuskers. With the adjustments on these they have become nothing more than nuisance monsters. For mages there not worth the xp to kill. For a melee there too hard to kill. Theres no worthwhile loot drop, no trophy item or rare random drop.
Orion: I'll look at them again, but as far as I can see they are pretty much balanced.
dugfromthearth asks: Is fishing skill actually a "skill" or a "rank"?
You fish. It tracks your fishing skill. On the same tab you have fishing skill it shows your chess ranking. Now chess ranking is simply a ranking - it doesn't affect your chess playing at all. If fishing skill is an actual skill, then they just added major new tech to the game. A universal skill you don't need to train. That you raise only through use. Is fishing the tip of the iceberg or am I all wet?
srand: Skill, sorta. Your fishing skill does indeed affect your chance of catching fish. However, as you noted, it doesn't work like other skills in AC in that you can't train it or spend XP on it. In fact, internally it is just like your chess rank -- except that the fish can see what your rank is and decide if you deserve to catch them or not. It's actually not new tech -- it's just us flexing our rather nifty NPC abilities
