ESRB Investigating Rockstar’s “Hot Coffee” Scenes

Gamepolitics.com noticed the (not work safe) Hot Coffee mod that popped up in mid-June. For those not quite up on their GTA: San Andreas fan sites, Hot Coffee was a patch created by a member of the Dutch modding community which unlocked a sexually graphic game mode he claims was coded and designed by Rockstar.

Gamepolitics got a hold of a few ESRB representatives who are now investigating the situation to determine whether or not Rockstar actually created the sexual mini-game. The ESRB bases their ratings on all aspects of a game, including hidden and locked levels. Such a game, even if hidden, would elicit the much-feared "Adults Only" rating, and if Rockstar or publisher Take2 deliberately concealed the code from the rating company, high velocity political hijinks are sure to go down.
