InfoSpace, a leading provider of mobile online content, has announced today they plan on selling advertising space during game tournaments. The "For Prizes Network," which allows players to log in and compete - you guessed it - for prizes, will be the first targeted area, which will allow marketers to focus directly on a specific type of gamer.

The idea of mobile advertising isn't new; think of how much text message spam you received around the turn of the century. But focused ads during gameplay is a major step toward inundating the new medium with advertising before the general population is able to fully catch up to the tech curve. No smart-phone is safe!
