Murderer Convicted, Despite GTA Defense
|
In 2003, Devin Moore grabbed a police officer's gun and killed three people. Why did he do it? Grand Theft Auto. Oh, and he was abused as a child (but that's so 90's). Defense attorneys argued Moore was trained and influenced to murder police based on the principles of the game. Thankfully, 12 angry people decided the "but GTA made me CRAZY" defense was baloney. Even if the kid was unable to detach himself from the game, I'm more inclined to believe his post-traumatic stress disorder was the root of the problem, not GTA. Score one for America on this one.
