Official: The Music Industry Doesn't Know What It Wants… Other than Your Money

A New York Times article is reporting that BMG and Warner Music Group are pressuring Steve Jobs to charge iTunes users more for popular music, rather than the flat $0.99 fee for downloading normal songs. Popular songs would be sold for as much as $1.49 using their proposed model.
