Women to Create Sim Dating Game. For Women.

Glennis McClellan is joining up with Republik Games to create a new multiplayer dating game tailored toward women called Spend the Night. More power to them, but it's hard to not be slightly terrified. On the one hand, it's awesome to see companies tailoring things beyond cutesy crap to female gamers. In fact, McClellan said:

There's a myth that women aren't interested in erotic content, which is totally untrue. Women are just as interested in sex as men are but there is little in the way of online content for this vast market. We plan to get women involved, put in features they care about, and make our game both entertaining and accessible.

I agree with this. However, the multiplayer aspect just screams "MMO OKCupid," which ultimately means very, very few members of the male demographic will ever reach "endgame." It's just the law of population density, guys.
