A website or newspaper using an inflammatory headline to get people to read it? Why, we wouldn't know anything about that! Anyway, Scotsman.com is an actual news site and they're reporting on a German study that says games make you fat and stupid.
Except, of course, it doesn't actually say that. What the study actually says, by the summary, is that OVERCONSUMPTION of TV and video games tends to lead to fatness, stupidity, and laziness, which I'd say is largely true. It's also possible (likely, I'd say) that fat, lazy, stupid people are more likely to sit around and watch TV all the time, but I don't have the data in front of me to support that. So in other words: Don't play video games or watch TV too much, go outside, and quit being stupid. Wise advice from hack journalists or from actual scientists.
