Hideo Kojima Creates Blog; Fanboys Like Me Come Running

Hideo Kojima of Metal Gear fame has created a blog to open himself up to fans around the world. As a long-time Metal Gear fan, it goes without saying when I first heard about it, I clicked the link so fast and hard, my mouse broke. After I found a backup USB optical lying around the office, I took a deep breath and prepared to pore over the man's writings, searching for insight as to what makes a guy like that tick. Then, I realized, I don't speak Japanese. The despair I felt could only be described as "cavernous."

Enter 1Up and their merry band of translating gnomes. They're translating his blog as he updates, and after reading a bit, the guy seems incredibly normal. He also likes Johnny Depp, which makes Hideo ok in my book.
