HD-DVD Pushed Back, But Still Ahead of Blu-Ray

HD-DVD is holding off until February of 2006 at the earliest to release its technology to consumers. But it's still speculated they'll come in ahead of Blu-Ray, which means, if 360 owners are lucky, they'll be able to watch movies at insanely ginormous proportions long before the Playstation 3 is out the door, provided they buy the additional HD-DVD doohickey. Of course, what this really means is bigger games, sooner, seeing as Microsoft is terrified of their own hard drive - despite the fact they can put people in jail for installing different unix shells onto the current version of the Xbox - they probably won't offer installable games with compressed data on game CDs.
