This interview excited those of us at the office. It's fast becoming apparent that Nintendo is the only company that gets it. What gamers don't get is that Nintendo didn't make it for us. The Revolution is aimed at everyone else. This makes my Nintendo Rope-A-Dope theory (which I will be writing about shortly) more likely. It's an interesting interview, one that just confirms that Nintendo is aiming at innovation and appealing to "everyone else" not just "gamers." Considering the gaming industry thinks of innovation as "shinier graphics," it's no wonder Nintendo is getting all the flak they're getting lately. Nintendo, though, is evolving beyond the need for gamers, into something everybody wants to play. Godspeed. Shine on, you crazy diamonds.
