Profits Up, But Consoles Cause Reduced Profits: Pick A Company, Any Company

While Sony's off eyeing lost profits, they're not the only one. Microsoft earnings [url=http://biz.gamedaily.com/features.asp?article_id=10957§ion=feature&email=]tell a similar story[/url] but not as bad as Sony. Microsoft's Home and Entertainment division's trying to hide in the corner as their revenue is down, and losses are up - no big surprise there, and the losses are naturally attributed to "everyone's waiting for the XBox 360". Still, it's not as bad as Sony's. Can't you just hear them over in the corner going "and we would have gotten away with those profits, too, if it weren't for that pesky console division"? I sure can.
