This just in - a MI judge has granted the ESA's request for a temporary injunction, blocking SB 416 (one of the vast and many bits of video games legislation) from going into effect December 1. The report mentions Judge George Caram Steeh found that "it is unlikely that the State can demonstrate a compelling interest in preventing a perceived 'harm.'" The judge continued, "the Act will likely have a chilling effect on adults' expression, as well as expression that is fully protected as to minors."
