imageOk, so the root kit created a major security risk to any person who was unlucky enough to want to listen to music on their computer. Ok, one of Sony's top dogs pretty much insulted anyone who complained about DRM, further proving the entire corporation is going crazy. Now, it turns out Sony's execs knew about the security problems the root kit would cause a month before consumers discovered the problem, and yet they did nothing. The only way this ethical situation could be more like the Pinto case is if your CD-ROM drive actually burst into flames, killing your family. In the Great Book of History, Sony will go down as the company who didn't learn from Ford's hundred million dollar mistake, but at least didn't kill anyone.
