imageThat's right, Sony is now sharing company with Intel in the "I just said something stupid about what consumers want" department. Craig Barrett, chairman of Intel, says the developing world will expect too much out of the $100 AMD-powered, linux-running machines MIT will be selling soon. According to Barrett, people are looking for "...something that has the full functionality of a PC... not dependent on servers in the sky to deliver content and capability to them...." Thanks, Craig. Obviously, the third world demands Intel Centrino processors brought to them by Dell. But who's going to pay for that? Not Intel. Until they do, godspeed, $100 laptops. Godspeed.
