Really! French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin announced that a new tax credit system will be introduced for videogame companies in early 2006. Okay, okay, though the whole idea is mostly just to bail out home-turf companies such as game publishers Infogrames and Vivendi Universal (and probably Ubisoft, who caught the eyes of as of late acquiring maven Electronic Arts) who could really use that tax money, the thought is at least encouraging, non?
