There’s More to Gaming Than Just Playing

As a player, when I start playing a new game I always wonder what the true game will turn out to be. What will be the true entertainment? For some it is taking screenshots of everything. For some it is just crafting or hunting or pking. We must not forget the fine art of gold collecting.. There is also the art of making game videos. This s truly an art that is being fine tuned every day.

Many large guilds make their own videos and many are so near professional quality. I remember when I first saw A Hero's Love by Windspire Warriors on Argent Dawn. This is a really well made video about a Pally, his love and their love for eternity It is story that was planned and then put together...verses the videos that just happen as is the case with Leeroy Jenkins. This video is just a tape that a guild took while on adventure one night and I have never laughed so hard. For the roleplayer we have WOW Is a Feeling by Pure Pwnage. This is another storyline video showing real life people living their feelings through their game characters. Pretty funny and well done.

For me, what makes a good video is the ability to create an emotion in me or to have a creative storyline with music. There are now movies out there with themes ranging from sad to humorous and everyone should be able to find a movie to their liking.

The software and abilities of gamers these days have the potential to produce very high quality videos with very little effort. People are becoming very creative with their storylines and with the graphics in the games these days being of high quality, it only enhances the end results.
