GFraizer, a Blizzard employee, had this to say regarding the WoW beta:
There has been no official word on the beta yet so don't stress out. There was mention of an open beta which I would guess would be open world-wide.
Talking about Battle.net:
The reason there isn't a server in every country is because we have to go where the action/hot spots are. A person's country is very important to them but you also have to look at the stats. If you were to add servers based on countries Aus is usually like 7th or 10th on the list last time I looked. There are countries above it (not in coolness but in users) which don't have their own servers. You can't really put a Battle.net hub in every country.Talking about World of Warcraft:
World of Warcraft and it's server structure is different from Battle.net. We (the people/fans) don't know where servers will be located. Usually MMORPGs put servers around the world. So let's wait to see what is decided.
