"Best Game Soundtrack" at the MTV Video Music Awards

Two new categories devoted to music in video games will appear at this year's Video Music Awards, reports Joystiq. The five nominees for Best Video Game Score (original works) are:

Hitman: Blood Money
Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter
Dreamfall: The Longest Journey
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Electroplankton

While the five games up for Best Video Game Soundtrack (licensed music) are:

Fight Night Round 3
Burnout Revenge
NBA 2K6
Driver: Parallel Lines
Marc Ecko's Getting Up

Who will win the Moon Man? Personally, I'm rooting for Electroplankton. How could you not?
