Wiinternet to be Free, Claims Nintendo

Over from the cool cats at The Escapist Newsroom comes this little tidbit of information. Apparently, the much-hyped online play that Nintendo's upcoming console will feature will be completely and totally free.

"When asked about online subscription models similar to Xbox Live, [Nintendo of America President Reggie] Fils-Aime said that, "We view online gaming as essentially an enhanced way to enjoy the gaming experience and drive more sales of hardware and software." He went on to claim, "It won't have hidden fees or costs.""
