Asherons Call: Reminder: Today's WCoD is a Little Rocky

We're putting in a new skin...and it's going to be the ONLY skin for a little while. Just to give you an idea, CoD is the second largest site (by views) on the network but we use more bandwidth than the largest and next two put together. A LOT has to do with our very graphics-rich skin.

Even more has to do with some extremely frustrating old code that doesn't allow us to do much to change anything.

Also, advertisers (I know, your favorite people) aren't making little banner ads anymore. And truthfully, being the Advertising Manager for the Network (did you guys know I did that?!) I can tell you that the little ads earn us NO money. But, our old skins couldn't take the new ads.

And then there's the clutter factor. We're cluttered. Period.

But it all comes back to the old code - because of it, our skin (of 16 on the network) has to be propped LIVE. So, please, before you scream and yell and complain realize that our ONE network artist (who works for free like the rest of us) has dedicated his entire day to going through EVERY page on WCoD, making it work and making it readable.

So, that ugly font that's too small right now? It may not be there later.
