Dark Age Of Camelot: A Brief intro to Foundations

Hehe, I love the emails that I get from some of you. I really do. But just to let you know why I favor certain things the way I do is because simply put, yes I am biased. Everyone is to a degree. It doesn¡¦t matter which realm you play, what veggie you eat more, what clothes you wear, or toilet paper you use, you will have your particular interests in something more than the other. I have tried playing in Midgard and I played for quite some time mind you. But don¡¦t assume that I don¡¦t like it. Just assume that I have a more particular interest in other things other than just Midgard alone. If I had the time to play all three realms, I would be able to form my opinions in a better fashion. But until then please, keep the flaming Emails down and remember, I¡¦m not bashing, I¡¦m just going on observations and my own experiences here. ƒº

Now, on to what I was going to talk about¡K

Oh yeah. I was going to talk about the Foundations thing that Mythic has going on. A reader had recently informed me (and thank you, I was trying to remember when the initial date was) that on June 9th, Foundations was supposed to be released in some form of BETA on Pendragon. Now, it¡¦s slated for June 17th. Now don¡¦t get your girdle all up in a wad or anything, just remember that good things do take time. I am sort of glad that they want to take their time on this since the development of these homes, the costs, the furniture, etc etc., is a very important thing to those that are very interested in this! I don¡¦t know if I am going to go all way out and buy my own right now. However, I¡¦m willing to bet that those that have money out the wahzoo would splurge in a heart beat on this new trinket of living! Ah, living the high life! All decked out in your newly owned cottage! With prizes, head of dragons and trophies galore that you could brag about to the ladies that you never really earned! The luxurious fake leather sprawled out on your couch and the pressboard tables and dining chairs all ready to break the first time you sit out them! Oh, and don¡¦t forget the ridiculous taxes that you have to pay per week just for the view of your own little hill with graves and what not behind there. Just teasing!

Nah, I have to pick at this some since it is going to be very amusing to see who runs out of money first and dies head over heels for buying too much and neglects their armor and weapons! But seriously folks, this patch I hope should bring some form of income to those that have trades and also help with the community of DAoC itself. This is a big project they are working on and I would like to see something great come of this! I haven¡¦t been keeping too many tabs on their updates with Foundations however, I¡¦m sure that whatever Mythic has up their sleeve and why they delayed should be good. I¡¦ll be writing more on this later on either this week or next week once I do my homework!
