Star Wars Galaxies: Club Promotion 101 Part 2

This was a busy week. Guyanna our resident Cook/Bartender and Tailor was on a mission. It was her job all week to collect names at the cantina where she was working all week learning to make many new kinds of drinks. She did a fine job and collect around 100 names of people. Erynne then turned around and personally invited them to week 3 at Club Destiny.

After the decline in attendance for week two we knew we had to work hard to increase the numbers. Erynne sent out her invitations. The vendors were stocked which had made many sales during the week. We had to move to Friday nights due to the scheduling with WoR radio. We ran into a scheduling problem in that our guild leader Nallu had her Lair warming and X'tasy Lounge was still on Fridays. We talked to Elli and she is moving to Saturdays and we are going to be sister clubs.

The DJ showed up which was Vestakia Heartfury (VegasBarbi of WoR) and it was time to open the doors. Early on there were around 5 or so people and I really thought it was going to be another horrid night. Bless her heart Vestakia said to hope for the best. The hours ticked by and we just kept dancing and having fun then the other parties got over and the people started showing up. It was great. In'mora and Mina showed up early on and stayed the whole night. Mina took over around 9pm as the DJ and she too did a fantastic job. One thing I am learning is the success of this club isn't going to depend on one person. Its going to be a combined effort of many people. People want to see entertainers. They want to see sexy guys with their shirts off like In'mora. They want to see sexy gals with not much on. They want to see live DJs and be able to hear requested songs. Most of us that were there and had a vote, vote this night as a success. So we will march on to next week and see what happens.
