This week I took Razors Hawt Dervish even further into the dangerous Istani wilds, past Champion's Dawn and into the Lost City of Jokanur, where I managed to turn me and my frog into tomato paste.

As soon as I logged in this week, I saw the Test to Live, Live to [Test] guild emblem, and I knew that it was going to be a fun day. There on a royal blue cape, was a frog. But that's all I'm saying about that. What happens in Kamadan, stays in Kamadan as far as the origin of the frog is concerned.

Me and my sidekick Koss headed out towards the Cliffs of Dohjok, to finish up some quests and since I'm playing as a girl avatar, to pick some flowers. By pick flowers, I mean kill the really nasty looking Iboga (the snake/plant things). I had leveled up some and more skills were available to me and I really got to see what a Dervish is capable of in combat. I put points into Earth Prayers, and questing got much easier.

Along the way, I picked up another Hero, a Monk, and the Hero System started to really show its versatility. I set Koss (Warrior) to Aggressive, and the Monk to Defensive, and unlike many times in Factions, my healer didn't draw aggro and was able to concentrate on keeping me and the other NPC alive. I just descibed an NPC as having the ability to concentrate. Yes, it starts to feel as if you are playing with other competent people after a bit, rather than noobsauce who run around and aggro everything. Trust me, after the play session ended I tried to do Captured Son with a full NPC party, and the difference was noticable.

This week I also found the next Mission, at the Jokanur Diggings. It was a lot of fun, but it didn't start out that way. (Minor spoilers ahead) After bullying the poor guard for access to the Lost City, I stopped right before I entered the first room to check out the enemy situation. Bad idea. The evil person who designed the place had put a huge stone above the doorway. That came crashing down. On me and my poor frog, turning us both into tomato paste. Goodbye Survivor title.

On the second try, the mission was more fun, and objectives were clearly defined and not to hard to figure out how to complete them. Sadly, this was about where this week's ride came to an end. With just one more Press Wednesday before the official launch of Nightfall, I may decide to retire Razors Hawt Dervish as well, and get some impressions of the Paragon. Right now, Dervish/Assassin looks like it could be fun to play.

One frog was harmed this week. Smashed flat as a pancake by an Indiana Jones trap. And I'm not going to mention my Assassin this week, I swear. But I did make that Valkyrie Seitung armor. I'm just sayin'.

Thanks again to Jenny, Gaile, and everyone at ArenaNet for the chance to run around in their brand new setting. I'll have the Green Drop Weekend to tide me over until next Wednesday! See you all next week!
