City Of Heroes: City of Heroes/City of Villains Warcry Trick or Treat Contest!

So what do you have to do? Trick or treat of course and show off those superpowers. We're looking for submissions of your heroes and villains trick or treating, in Halloween costumes, or otherwise partaking in the holiday. This can be an in-game screentshot, a picture you've created, a photo of yourself, a written piece, or something else suitably creative.

There is a catch though. If you're the villainous sort, then you need to show us how a villain does Treats! And if you're a hero, then you need to show how a hero does Tricks! For the anti-heroes and those that play both sides of the fence, your choice (or maybe both).

Submissions will be judged based on a combination of creativity, humor/entertainment, overall quality, heroic or villain appearance, and setting/situation. Any and all characters depicted must be either your own creation or a creation of Cryptic/NCsoft. Copyrighted and trademarked characters or anything else that may infringe on an intellectual property, privacy, or other publishing right will be disqualified.

Also, this contest is in no way affliated with NCsoft Inc or Cryptic Studioes. Please direct all questions, comments, and corrospondance pertaining to this contest to cohstaff@warcry.com. NCsoft or Cryptic will be unable to answer any questions in regards to the contest.

Prizes:

Three villains will win a copy of the City of Heroes DVD Edition game and a City of Heroes tee-shirt.

Three heroes will win a copy of the City of Villains game and a City of Villains tee-shirt.

Three anti-heroes/misunderstood villains will win a City of Heroes time card (usable with either City of Heroes or City of Villains) and an real life Arachnoes Cape.

Contest Deadline:

The Trick or Treat contest begins on Wed. Oct 25th and ends on 11:59 Pacific Standard Time on Wed. November 15h. Entries after this time will not be accepted. Winners will be announced no later than November 30th.

Submission Rules:

To enter, you need to submit a valid email address, full name, and mailing address. No valid email address, no dice. You must also be 18 and over to enter and reside in the US. All submissions will be judged, chosen, and posted right here! Entries will be accepted beginning Wed. Oct 25th, 2006. All entries must be received no later than midnight Eastern Time, on Wed. By participating in the contest, contestants grant WarCry the right to print, publish, broadcast and use worldwide in any media now known or hereafter developed, including, without limitation, the World Wide Web, at any time or times, the submission and the contestant's name, as news or for public information and education without additional consideration or compensation. The entry becomes the property of WarCry and will not be returned. Entrants surrender copyright and all interests therein of their submissions to WarCry with the understanding that the materials may be used for promotional purposes.

By participating in the contest, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and agree to WarCry's privacy policy.

Employees of WarCry Corp, and its subsidiaries or affiliates, and any family members and/or household members of these employees, are excluded from the contest.

Entrants release WarCry and its respective parent divisions, affiliates, officers, subsidiaries, agents, employees and all others associated with the development and execution of this contest from and against any liability with respect to or in any way arising from this contest and the awarding and use of the prizes.

Tampering with the contest in any manner is prohibited. WarCry reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine whether the contest has been tampered with. WarCry reserves the right to disqualify any entrant it suspects or has determined, in its sole discretion, has tampered with the promotion or submitted multiple entries. If WarCry determines that the contest has been tampered with, it reserves the right to terminate the contest without awarding any prizes. WarCry shall not be responsible for any entry not received due to network outages; failed, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmissions; online failures; hardware, software or other technical malfunctions or disturbances; or any other communications or transmission failure.
