A lot of you are planning on having Halloween events this month. Some will be Star Wars themed, others will be simple costume parties or even adventure excursions to Night Sister territory. Whatever type event you decide to run, we have a small number of event perks that can help you decorate for it.
The player event perks are in-game resources that you can temporarily place in your city or in the wild areas of planets. They can be rented from the Event Promoters located in hotels across the galaxy. The perks range from decorations such as X-wings and Tie Fighters to Lottery Droids and flags for PVP games.

Perks can be placed wherever you have zoning rights or in some remote areas of the galaxy (but not in NPC or player cities where you don't have placement rights). Each will last for 16 hours.
Below you can see some of the creepy PEP items you can use to decorate your venue for a Halloween or Winternight party.

The Shadow Night Festival, Winterfest and Halloween
If you are looking for some Star Wars themes for your Halloween event, here is a some information taken from the theforce.net 's encyclopedia entries on holidays found in the movies and extended universe.
The Shadow Night Festival of Endor and the Sith Witches' Winterfest are fantastic Halloween-styled backgorunds that you can adopt as a theme for your own event.
Shadownight
The Shadow Night Festival is a basic themed holiday originating on Endor where young Ewoks would don fanciful costumes and go door to door asking for treats. While this holiday was originated by the Ewoks, it is not unusual for such customs to spread to other civilizations. We expect to see a number of non-Ewoks to be taking part in this fun tradition.[b]Winterfest
The other holiday of the season, Winterfest, is quite a mystery compared to Shadow Night. This annual event's beginnings are rooted with the Night Sisters witches enclave on Dathomir. No one is exactly sure how the Dathomir witches celebrate their holiday, but last year Winterfest was marked by Night Sisters raiding cities on populated worlds. Some believe it was revenge for all the raids that had befallen Dathomir in recent years. There are those who believe another series of raids will occur this year as well.

Some beings, of course, revel in the mysterious and creepy nature of the Night Sisters (some even claim to be related to them) and hold their own Winternight parties. These bashes typically involve guests donning scary costumes and attempting to frighten their friends.
To see a comprehensive list of Star Wars holidays and events, visit theforce.net's online encyclopedia and do a category search for holidays. Bear in mind that not all of the events you will find are within the timeframe of SWG. Some of the events haven't yet happened during the time period that SWG is set in. Some events are species-specific whereas some have been outlawed. Some occur on planets not currently included in SWG, but may have been famous enough to spread to other home worlds. Whatever your choices might be, just make sure you have fun!
I hope this helps you set up for your event. Have a great time this month!
