World Of Warcraft: Resilience, new battleground and arcane crystals

| 9 Nov 2006 07:16

What do you cats know about resilience? I have seen it on a lot of armor, and heard a brief explanation, but nothing definitive. Whaddya got?

The simplest way to explain this is to send you to the official forums to read the blue post regarding this. The answer is that at 70, you get a 1% lower chance of being struck by any type of critical strike, and take 2% less damage taken from critical strikes for each 39.4 resilience rating points you have. It scales with level, so it'll be a lower amount of resilience needed for the same reduction at the lower levels. The full thread on all the new combat rating points can be found on the official forums.

I was wondering if the racials for specific classes for the new races are implemented and put to public knowledge? In particular I'm wondering what the blood elf specific racials are for priests. TYVM

The racials for the new classes I answered yesterday. Regarding the racial spells for priests, they can be found on the official site. Draenei get Fear Ward, while Blood Elves get Consume Magic. Link: New Priest spells in the Burning Crusade.

I heard there is going to be a new BG in TBC. Is it going to be Azshara Crater, or a different one? And do you have any information on it yet?

The new BG is called Eye of the Storm. Find some info about it on wowwiki's Eye of the Storm page.

How common are Arcane Crystals in BC ? Easier to get? How do you get them besides mining? How often do you get them from prospecting Thorium ?

As far as I know, you can't get them from prospecting thorium, only from mining rich thorium mines, but I may be wrong here. I don't have that high a jewelcrafter, nor could I find any to answer it. Rich thorium mines are, however, very easy to find in outland, so in that regard it's also a lot easier to find arcane crystals.
