Star Wars Galaxies: In Concept: The Red Herring Squadron

| 10 Nov 2006 09:00

Ever try to start a city on your favorite planet, only to find all the real estate is tied up, either with existing player cities or the now-famous ghost towns? It may not be that way much longer. SWG Lead Designer Helios is at it again, this time stirring conversation about a galactic clean-up program.

What if ... the Galactic empire were to conduct a "clean up the galaxy" program? This program would allow Galactic citizens to place transmitters on dangerously dilapidated and condemned structures. The transmitters would serve as homing beacons for special service TIE Bomber squadrons that conduct regular patrols of all planets. Once the TIE Bombers detect the signal, they swoop down and destroy the structure. The Empire would reward the citizens for their help in the Clean-Up-The-Galaxy program with various rewards.
