If you were to judge solely by the numbers of times Turbine developers have been asked about their first steps in the game industry at the past ACPLs, you'd be forgiven for thinking "almost everyone". So, to stem the tide of questions, Turbine have a little something up their sleeve:
One of the things that every single Turbine developer gets asked each year at the ACPL is "How did you get into the game industry?" This year, we've decided to share our collective wisdom. In addition to a presentation on "breaking in" to the whole group, Turbine will have a resume dropwhere registered attendees can leave their resume. Some attendees (on a first come first serve basis) will even get to sit down with a Turbine employee and get personal advice based on their unique situation; everyone will receive comments on their resume by email after the show. We hope that in the future when someone asks "How did you get into the game industry" a possible response will be "I got some great advice at the ACPL!"
This little piece of news appeared on Turbine's AC:DM Website earlier today.
