Geekworld has the latest posted review of NWN 2. They scored the game 8/10 and anticipate raising that to 9/10 when multiplayer issues are fixed. Overall it's a 'standard' and fair review:
Neverwinter Nights 2's first impression is pretty bad, mostly because of the horrid performance. Once you get past that and start playing, you'll find the game to be highly enjoyable. The Official Campaign is simply so much better than Neverwinter Nights 1 that it puts the designers of the later to shame. Other than that, the game is Neverwinter Nights 1 updated by a generation. Really cool graphics - if you have the hardware for them - and many features that should have been in NWN1 and were at best only added later, in expansions, or patches.
It remains to be seen how well Obsidian and Atari will support Neverwinter Nights 2. If they manage to support it the same as support for the first part had been, or even better, then Neverwinter Nights 2 will become an absolute classic. If they support it any worse than Neverwinter Nights 2 then the game will eventually be considered a dud.
Score: I'll give the game an 8 out of 10, to be updated to a 9 out of 10 once the seriously broken multiplayer support has been fixed, and maybe performance of the graphics engine has been optimized a bit.
