Star Wars Galaxies: Friday Feature: Holopets

Chapter 4 brings Commando, Medic, and Spy expertise to the galaxy, but that's not all. Holo-pets are on their way, too!

Players who log in any time between the Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 updates will receive one holo-emitter and one randomly selected holo-pet data cube as chapter gifts. Keep reading to see how these items make your holo-pet!

What are Holo-pets?

Holopets are in-game holograms that will walk around in any room inside your house. All you have to do is place the holo-emitter in your house and put in the holopet data cube.

Your First Pet

When you log in after the Chapter 4 update, you will find a holo-emitter and a package in your inventory. When you "open" the package, you will find your first holo-pet data cube. That data cube will determine what variety your first holo-pet will be. [/TD] [/TR]

How Do I Get my Holo-Pet?

" Open your Chapter 4 gift package to get your data cube.

" Place the holo-emitter in the room where you want your holo-pet to be.

" Open the radial menu on the holo-emitter and select "Insert Data Cube."

" A menu will pop up with any data cubes you have in your inventory listed on it.

" Select the pet of your choice on the list, and that's it!

Now all you have to do is click the holo-emitter to turn your pet hologram off and on.

Can I get more Holopets?

Yes, you can! There are 10 data cubes total, and each data cube will project a different holo-pet. The holo-pet data cube is a random item, so you don't know which holo-pet you have until you open it - you may even get a rare holo-pet!

You can trade the data cubes, too, so you can swap with your friends and collect all of the holo-pets!

Can I name my pet?

You sure can! Here's how:

Have the data cube for the pet you wish to name in your inventory.
Bring up the radial menu on your holo-emitter.
Select the option to name your pet.
