World Of Warcraft: Dark Portal event and cloth type

Will there be an event similar to the opening of the AQ gate or will the Dark Portal be directly open in the expansion?

There will be an event, but blizzard won't say what exactly it is. They do say, however, that it's not something that will require as much as AQ40, nor will it cause everyone to gather at the same place which crashes the servers.
