A third review has shown up today, this time from UK gaming site, Jolt. Assigning NWN 2 a very nice 8.9/10.00 score, reviewer Colin Barnwell said:
With the single player campaign liable to take upwards of 40 hours if you explore all the side quests and take the time to engage in combat tactically, you can already expect to get your money's worth, but the addition of user-friendly mod tools and comprehensive online play makes NWN2 easily one of the best value games currently available - even at full price. The entire campaign can be played through with other players online (the game suggest no more than 4 for the best experience, but you can have more), so the game can be experienced socially as well as individually.
With a bustling online community, a constant stream of user-made mods and hopefully the promise of purchasable adventures for years to come, we can safely say Neverwinter Nights 2 is going to be around for a long while. Although it's disappointing that the look-and-feel of the sequel hasn't changed tremendously in the intervening years, the environments feel much more natural and varied and the ability to play the game as either an action RPG and a tactical RPG is much appreciated. Given that this addresses two of our major concerns with the first game, we can't complain too much. We're just counting the weeks until the first expansion comes along.
