We're starting a new semi-regular feature here at WarCry's Crossroads of Dereth: A "Grand Tour" of the various towns and villages that dot the landscape of the islands we inhabit.
First stop on the tour is Rithwic. Jacinth the Loremaster has even visited Rithwic, saying [blockquote]Straddling the river on the southern edge of Lake Blessed, Rithwic is an excellent place to meet travelers moving from north to south and east to west. If you happen to be passing through, I highly recommend stopping a while and enjoying the quiet restfullness of Rithwic.[/blockquote] Rithwic is also the closest town to the beseiged Dryreach, and it's inhabitants keep a wary eye to the east. If Dryreach falls, can Rithwic be far behind?
Martine also provided access to his retreat through the center of Rithwic, making the town a convenient hub for the newly arrived and the long time residents of the area. Stop by the Skull and Flagons for a quick pint (and potential access to the gates of Dryreach), or drop in The Royal Firkin" and try to console Celcynd. In any case, stop by Rithwic on your way to wherever it is you are going, and take a look around!
