Guild Wars: GvG Ladder Overhaul

Seattle, WA based ArenaNet has announced their plans to overhaul the "Guild vs. Guild" ladder system in their popular free-to-play online RPG Guild Wars. Christian Brellisford posted a lengthy explanation of their goals and plans on the official website. A key reason for the move is to make the rankings more representative of historical guild performance, which they hope will minimize the short-term spiking that are currently an issue.
