Weird Marketing from Microsoft

This CNN story tells the tale of the viral marketing being done for "Vanishing Point". This game, from Microsoft, has been hyped in odd and peculiar ways recently. This Vista game is a sort of strange internet puzzle and, I suppose, an MMO of sorts if you think about it hard enough.

A mysterious online countdown. USB drives containing cipher keys. Notes and videos from a woman who calls herself Loki. Bloggers' reports of extravagant gifts, marked with a return address for Microsoft's headquarters.

And all trails leading to a Web site for something called Vanishing Point.
