The latest NWN 2 review to come down the pipe, arrives via Gameplanet.nz, a New Zealand gaming site. Scoring the game 4/5 "fists", the reviewer said:
So was Neverwinter Nights 2 a sequel worth waiting for? Most definitely. To be perfectly honest, after having to fiddle with the graphics settings and coming to terms with all the changes, it took us a few hours to warm to the game... but once we did we were well and truly hooked. Despite a few minor faults, this one's a winner!
And in summary:
Ups: Spectacular spell and combat effects aplenty, a compelling storyline with numerous side quests plus character development and tinkering opportunities... all hot items on the RPG fan's wish list.
Downs: There are some minor graphics issues, and if you don't have a grunty PC you will have to sacrifice a lot of eye candy for the sake of improved performance.
Bottom Line: A must-have for anyone who enjoyed the original NWN titles, and for D&D/Forgotten Realms fans.
