Guild Wars: Special Events Planned for Cantha

According to Guild Wars Vault, during the community day last week, Arena Net let them know that the Factions world of Cantha will see some exciting events that will coincide with the real world's Chinese New Year:

Arena Net has come up with the idea in reference to the Chinese New Year, in this case Canthan New Year!

There will be new quests and prizes given out to the highest scorers..

ArenaNet let us those who went to Community Day `06/`07 a sneak peak of one of the events that is included in Canthan New Year Event and that is

"Roller Beetle Race"

Now this was only in testing when we had the chance to play, so some of the info may change by the Events release.

All Six of us got a Rollerbeetle, then we hit the enter mission button, waiting for the count down and bang... We were off rolling down the path trying to be the first to the finish line.
