Practice Improves Hand-Eye Coordination, CNN Reports

| 20 Feb 2007 13:11

In the endless quest to sensationalize every aspect of the "video game wars" CNN has a shot for the good guys today that is nearly as an absurd of a news story as the shots from the other side. CNN reports that there is a "strong correlation between video game skills and a surgeon's capabilities performing laparoscopic surgery."

So, in case that isn't clear: it means surgeons who play video games are statistically better than those who do not.

In other news, I hear that baseball players who take batting practice have a higher batting average.

Check out the original story here.
