Numbers In: Nintendo Wii Takes the Lead in January!

I mentioned earlier today that the January console sales numbers would be interesting. They were. January was the first month that the Playstation 3 was more or less completely in stock to compete against the Xbox 360 on a level playing field. They lost, but so did Microsoft. The Nintendo Wii ran away with things amid continued shortages of stock.

1. Wii - 436,000 units
2. 360 - 294,000 units
3. PS3 - 244,000 units
