Neverwinter Nights 2: SAGA Project Sneak Peak

Fu'Miga sent along word that there is a new article about the upcoming persistent world that she and her team have so diligently been working on. Some nice looking screenshots of the new user interface are provided as well as descriptions of the SAGA-specific "look" that will accompany the module.

SAGA staffers are now starting to bring stuff together into a whole so we can finally announce a release date. That's right folks, I'm guessing some of you were thinking the project was stalled or stagnant... WRONG!

Check out the first SAGA Snoop presentation where we bring you screens and descriptions of the upcoming SAGA UI (user interface). This is our under testing alpha version but we can firmly state we are reaching beta phase quickly.

Regarding the in game UI:

Once you enter SAGA and actually start playing it you will notice the changes immediately and though some are only graphical adaptations to a SAGA: The Fangii Schism theme (see the 'A' spot in the image to the right), most of them are subtle changes (or not) that will improve your gaming experience when online and having fun with the rest of us sagathians.

Thanks to an adaptation of Charlie's UI, SAGA will be able to present you a more compact look with many improved features, less wasted space and very multiplayer friendly.

To start with when you enlarge the image to the right you will easily see how compact and readable the fonts used are now, with a reduced size and a slight sharpening effect. See how well the chat consoles look now ('B' and 'C' spots). And as a sidenote these are all fully customizable, movable and sizable.
