PATCH NOTES - Update 4 on Nexus (v14.117) - March 1, 2007
KNOWN ISSUES
* /reclaim does not work for the limited addition RC car. Please /assist to request a replacement.
* Deconstitution.
* Lowered defensive bonus of focus of attention, added small hitpoint bonus - still not adding hp or def, problem has been identified.
* Increased power per pulse on Smoke Cloud, reduced duration of each pulse.
* Mutant Tour mission - for the Shaman, no waypoint back to Shaman Law on last step of tour mission. Shaman on this mission should return to Shaman Law, even though there is no waypoint to complete the mission.
* All Level 80 skills are 10 ranks, but the UI shows them as 1/1 up to 10/1 instead of being 2/10, for instance.
GAMEPLAY CHANGES
* Auction House has been implemented. Players can now sell their goods through town terminals (black and white dollar side on the mini-map) as an auction or through a buyout option. Make your friends pay out the nose for your goods!
* Mail system has been implemented. You can now send mail with text, money and even goods through the Mail terminals (white envelope icon on the mini-map). Tournament rewards and other goodies may even be delivered straight to your mailbox. All for a small fee.
* Skill system has been updated. All skills have a max rank of ten, and each rank costs 1 skill point. Players receive 140 skill points at max level. If players have received skill points from mission rewards they will need to do a respec at the terminal to recover those mission skill points. + all skills + all faction skills, and + specialty skill enhancements have been replaced with buffs that affect all attributes.
* Mastery and loyalty ornaments no longer buff skill ranks. Mastery has changed to an offense buff; Loyalty has changed to an AoE offense debuff.
* All Ornament and Hazard Kits will drop and drop enhanced where appropriate.
* There are new tour missions for new players available in the mini-highways. These new missions will take players to town and show them the sights.
* Lowered cooldown on Coolant Flush consumables to 20 seconds.
* Players vehicles that stay invisible for an extended period of time, like staying in Hazard Mode for the entire duration, will no longer be removed from their convoy after reappearing.
* The selection in the Auction House's first filter item box for race items has been taken out and race items can be found in the sub category box under items.
* Remaining Error Messages and Auction and Mail messages moved to the combat window.
* Tourney "rapid barking" (spamming chat with all tournament messages) should be gone now.
* Auto-INC changed to occur after 5 minutes.
* The Ground Zero crater has lootalicious surprises. More of momma's children have hatched, so don't forget your bug zapper!
* When calling INC, it is no longer necessary to be completely still; the system will allow movement up to 30 mph before it disturbs the INC call. Shooting or being shot will still interrupt it as before.
* Pets should now be able to hit things other than the really weak.
* /reclaim has been added to recover missing veteran rewards, pre-order items, etc.
* Two wheel custom tires will now drop for all races; previously, they only dropped for Humans. Humans may be in possession of Biomek and Mutant versions of these tires, which will no longer be useable.
* The new tournament schedule is not yet fully populated and will be available soon. This system includes custom rewards for tournaments in the Americas, EU, and Austral-Asian time zones. For now, all tournaments on live should be disabled.
* The epic chassis have had their mastery flag removed and replaced with a bonus to defense, all attributes, and penetration.
SKILL CHANGES
* Human
o Lowered duration of Impairment debuff.
o Lowered power cost on Strategic Analysis, increased duration of buff.
o Lowered defense on Combat Engineering, reduced buff length.
o Defense on Resilience increased has been modified.
o Added defensive bonus to Deflector Shield, text updated.
o Tech Certification fixed.
o Changed the power return on Overload Reception to remove possible exploit. Power cost changed as well.
o Intel brief skill descriptions corrected to reflect that Lieutenants can cast the skill on themselves or their pets.
o Hazardous Cleansing should now cleanse an enemy in a very hazardous way, duration of debuff decreased due the hazardousness of it.
o Cooldown on Polarize increased.
o Found missing point of penetration on Veteran Tactics, it has been punished and promises to not run away again.
o Increased bonus to hit on Satellite Strike.
o Increased bonus to hit on High Voltage Bolt.
o Lowered power cost of Rally Colors to an appropriate level.
o Increased percent bonus to hit on Resonant Amplifier.
o Lowered power cost on Diatonic Wave.
o Added self target to Cover Fire.
o Removed friend target from Intel Brief.
o Increased damage on Electrical Radiation.
o Interference debuff duration decreased.
o Increased the amount of heat reduced on coolant dump skills.
o Improved Magnetics hitpoint buff increased to 300 points at max rank.
o Tech Certification buffs 20 Theory and 20 Tech at max rank now.
o Shield Sciences energy resist buff reduced, added component that increases max damage while using energy weapons.
o Defensive Driving resistance amount lowered, removed negative accuracy effect from skill.
o Tactical Awareness perception buff lowered, added penetration buff.
o Kinetic Power will fire every second at max rank and restore a max of 75 power per fire.
o Coolant Dump skill will now dump a larger amount of heat.
o Resonant Aura debuff duration decreased, AE range decreased slightly. Amount debuffed increased slightly.
o Rally Colors range increased, amount buffed decreased slightly, duration of buff decreased slightly.
o Power Overload initial cost to cast decreased, amount of HP buffed increased.
o Modulated Emissions, decreased the cooldown on each pulse, increased damage per pulse.
o Repulsor Shield amount of resistance buff lowered, increased amount of repulsion pulses.
o Reduced damage on Particle Ray slightly, reduced amount of debuff and duration of debuff slightly.
o Reduced the amount of combat buffed by Strategic Analysis for each person in chain to bring skill in line with norms.
o Tech Center tech buff reduced, amount healed increased.
o Reduced amount of penetration buff on High Powered Munitions.
o Greatly increased amount of hitpoints buffed by Advanced Armor Tech.
o Reduced amount of perception given by Hestia HUD.
o Increased the hitpoint and power buff amount of Systems Upgrade.
o Reduced max power buff on Psi Training, added theory stat component.
o Slightly increased healing amount on Power Center.
o Increased amount healed by Repair Stream (ally).
o Increased amount of resistance buffed by Charged Hull.
o Psioptic Ammo can only be case on self and pets now for those with the skill.
o Resonant Amplifier now has an offensive bonus debuff component to the skill.
o Reduced amount buffed by Plan of Attack, reduced duration of buff.
o Removed contamination debuff from Power Surge, added max power debuff.
o Slightly reduced max damage on Bombardment.
o Alternate Polarity adds heat to enemy now.
o Lowered defensive bonus on Durasteel Exoplating, increased deflection.
o Added penetration bonus to Pod Boost.
o Increased hitpoints on Shock Trooper, pet should also hit more often against other players.
o Lowered perception buff on Command Awareness, increased accuracy buff.
o Lowered the amount buffed by Elite Ttraining.
o Lowered amount of pulses on Tesla Strike, increased the damage per pulse.
o Intel Brief changed to self only, lowered amount of perception of buff.
o Lowered amount of perception buffed by Smoke Screen and lowered amount of combat debuffed.
o Reduced power cost on Gravity Flood.
o Lowered amount of pulses on Devitalize, increased damage per pulse, lowered power cost to fire.
o Slightly decreased amount of offensive bonus on Sharp Shooter, added penetration.
o Reduced amount of penetration on Striker X rounds, slightly reduced amount of damage add.
o Crippling Bolt is no longer a from stealth skill, lowered amount of pulses, increased damage per pulse, removed energy resist debuff, increased power drain.
o It should now be more difficult to flush the heat caused by using Second Chance.
* Biomek
o Smoke Cloud lasts 3 seconds at rank 1 and increases in duration by rank, up to 7 seconds at max rank.
o Focus of Attention works correctly with hp and def bonus.
o Small text update to Laserbot.
o Lowered theory and tech on Cunning.
o Corrected text on Hostile Environment Training to indicate previous changes.
o Hostile Environment Training fire resist buff changed to energy.
o Hardened Lacquer given damage add to corrosive weapons, removed accuracy with corrosive component.
o Lowered debuff amount on Amplifying Nanites, rollovers should now indicate extent of debuff.
o Advanced Implant should now have a working tech component.
o disarm.virus is now worth taking to 10 ranks.
o Toxic Attentuation should be working now, if Zzyn hasn't broken it again.
o Lowered power cost on Nano Scrambler Turret.
o Lowered the amount debuffed by Assimilate, reduced amount buffed. Duration of debuff component lowered.
o Increased damage done by Chlorofire.
o Lowered debuff amount on Crippling Aura.
o Gamma Storm debuff duration decreased, power cost decreased.
o Combat Synch duration increased, number of targets adding to buff amount decreased, amount of combat buffed decreased.
o Hitpoints buffed by Nanite Support increased, duration increased, power cost reduced.
o Technical Superiority tech buff lowered slightly, defensive bonus added.
o Defense Mode upkeep cost lowered slightly, the heat add decreased slightly, the amount of resistance buffed decreased, added small defensive bonus.
o Amount of pulses on Gamma Snap reduced, damage per pulse increased.
o Amount of pulses on Gamma Emission reduced, damage per pulse increased, and power to cast lowered.
o Deteriorate debuff lowered slightly, power cost to cast lowered, changed duration of debuff.
o Lowered amount of perception buffed by Military Acumen, added small penetration bonus.
o Increased range on Frost Plate.
o Reduced resistance buff on Armor Efficiency.
o Power cost on Damage Synch lowered, increased amount of damage buff done slightly, duration of buff greatly increased.
o Pyrophoric Munitions damage adjusted to be a range instead of always a max damage add.
o Nanotransfer number of pulses lowered, increased damage per pulse, amount healed per pulse increased.
o Military Training tech value changed to theory, buff amount reduced slightly.
o Caustic Erosion pulse count lowered, damage per pulse increased, power cost lowered.
o Swarming Nanites debuff duration increased slightly; power cost reduced greatly, cooldown increased slightly.
o Increased hitpoints on Techbot.
o Slightly increased damage on Biomek Flamer Device.
o Radiant Repair cooldown increased to bring it in line with other heal skills.
o Increased hitpoints on Nanoscrambler Turret, reduced power cost.
o Increased power buff on Accumulator.
o Slightly decreased amount buffed by Integration.
o Decreased stat buffs on Advanced Implants.
o Reduced heat buildup on Surge.
o Atrophy power drain reduced slightly.
o Reduced duration of debuff on Plasma Dispersion.
o Reduced amount of buff on Perception Patch, added penetration buff.
o Reduced pulse period on Nanobombers, reduced number of pulses, increased damage per pulse.
o Corrected rollover in Robotic Directive to correctly indicate that it is an offensive bonus buff.
o Increased max power buffed by Amplification, skill can now target self as well.
o Increased damage on Incineration.
o Slightly decreased amount buffed by Neural Net.
o Reduced the percentage healed by Feedback per tick, reduced power cost.
o Acidic Surprise no longer must be fired from stealth, damage increased, power cost reduced. Surprise!
o Reduced duration on DIMDA.virus blind to be in line with other blind skills.
o Reduced the max number of charges allowed on Killshot chargeup.
o Increased cooldown on disarm.virus.
o Decreased amount of combat buffed by Aggressor, added slight penetration bonus.
o Decreased accuracy buff on Cybersensors.
o Decreased debuff duration on Assimilate, decreased debuff value slightly.
o Altered the cost formula for the Biomek Mastermind starter skill "MG-Mek" so that a Level 1 MasterMind can afford it. It will still progress to 394, about its former cap of 396.
* Mutant
o Added accuracy for all damage types to Congealed Blood.
o Added more offense to Spirit Sense.
o Encrusted Blood has a defense bonus now.
o Small text update to Ursaic Monolith.
o Luminary buff decreased for Archons.
o Influx has a defensive bonus now instead of penetration.
o Blood Affinity should now work correctly, text corrected.
o Corrected skill description on Phase Induction.
o Blood Spike should now be spiking in a very spikey manner.
o Lowered resists on Armor Adept, added defensive component.
o Increased the damage on Phased Ammo, removed penetration bonus.
o Increased damage on Vengeance, lowered debuff slightly.
o Communion is no longer interruptible, increased the amount of damage healed, greatly increased the recast time. Also added silence component.
o Increased amount of HP buffed by Longevity.
o The slow effect on Grounding will now become less as the player buys more ranks.
o Lowered power cost on Phase Bomb, reduced minimum damage slightly.
o Increased speed per pulse on Fulmination, increased cool down slightly.
o Ursaic Power will return an increasing amount of power and health per rank now.
o Reduced amount buffed by Ursaic Thunder.
o Reduced amount buffed by Ursaic Monolith, added penetration buff.
o Increased amount buffed by Armor Adept.
o Reduced duration of debuff on Repression, reduced power cost.
o Reduced duration of debuff on Deep Resentment, reduced power cost slightly.
