Finally I am done with all the airports and flights I can bare packed ini a 3 day trip. On Thursday I left my little apartment up here in Canada to spend a day with Square Enix's FFXI American team.
On Friday, March 2, two members of each Premier Community sites listed on the official PlayOnline site were brought into Square Enix's offices for an inside and exclusive tour of where they work the magic to support us, players of Final Fantasy XI. The point of the summit was to build up better community relationship between Square Enix, the various Premier Sites and the community itself.
Very few things were handled as Q&A and was more related to open discussion on communication this time. Although we did manage to dig out some informations that will be revealed in an upcoming article.
But here's what Sage Sundi, Global Online Producer, had to say to close the day: Final Fantasy XI will be receiving a patch to make it windowable. Although this most likely won't be in the March update, I would say there's a good chance for it in the summer patch which is usualy around June or July (note that is pure speculation on my part).
Anyway, that is all for now as I just got home and have things to do. An upcoming article covering everything will come in a day or two.
On an ending note, I would like to say thanks to all of the Square Enix crew that took the time to plan this for us and taking some precious time off of work to try and strengthen the bonds between them, us, the Premier Sites, and the most important of all, you, the community.
