Gods And Heroes: IGN Has A Nice Gods & Heroes Preview!

The fine folks over at IGN was able to get their hands on the game for a preview!

Much like the name Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising would suggest, Perpetual's action/adventure MMOG set in the classical world has both gods and heroes. Those who brave the monster-laden land of ancient Italy will step into the sandals of a hero and receive the help of one of the many gods in the Roman pantheon. Perpetual and publisher Sony Online gave us the go ahead to travel back into the classical period of Rome's mythical past and slay beasts, command minions, and begin an adventure. We've seen a bit of this game in the past, but what we've seen has been largely basic features and no real hands-on time. Today was long enough to give us a better impression of the more advanced features like minion play and how they'll eventually control in the final. Those who know the basics and just want to know more about minions can skip ahead to the second page.
