Everquest 2: Lead Designer Dymus leaves SOE

Warcry has received confirmation that Jason "Dymus" Roberts has left his position as Lead Designer for Everquest 2. At the recent Game Designer's Conference, Scott "Gallenite" Hartsman, Senior Producer of SOE, confirmed that Roberts has left the company to pursue other opportunities. Hartsman also said that he will be missed and was a model professional during his time there. To stress the point, Hartsman added that Jason worked two weeks of overtime just to make sure he tied up loose ends.

Warcry was unable to confirm reports that Roberts had possibly accepted a position with 38 Studios (formerly known as Green Monster Games) to see if they had accepted Roberts as their new Lead Designer.

Representatives with 38 Studios had "no comment" when asked about the possibility of Roberts coming on-board.
