Independent Game Rating System Overhaul

Joystiq has a note up on The Independent Game Rating System, which is a voluntary indie answer to the ESRB. Many were recently concerned that indie developers would be frozen out, unable to afford ESRB ratings and thus unable to get through parental locks on Vista. This system is a voluntary one that lets developers warn consumers what kind of content to expect. Unfortunately, as Joystiq rightly points out, this is as noble as it is flawed.
