EQ Progression Server Merges

Despite Razor's dismissive tone, I find it a touch sad to see the Progress Servers being merged together. SOE undertook a noble experiment with these and I know a few people who are what would be defined as "hardcore MMO players", but were too young to or simply chose not to have experience EQ in all its glory back in "the day"(TM) who have really enjoyed this experience.

On March 21, 2007, we will be merging the EverQuest Progression Servers. Characters will be moved from The Sleeper server to The Combine server and The Combine server will retain its name. The Sleeper server will then be closed. In addition, we will be doing a character wipe on these servers for all characters that are below level 10 that have not been logged in within 90 days of the merge date will be deleted.

The scheduled downtime is from 4:00 am Pacific Time to 12 noon. Check back on the EQPlayers Website on Monday, March 19, 2007 for updated information about the merge. We will provide the answers to other questions as needed before the merge as needed.
