Kaneva has put out a press release to announce that their virtual world has hit Open Beta. Run by Chris Klaus, Kaneva aims to combine the social networking and content sharing sites of the web with a 3D world.

ATLANTA, GA - (March 21, 2007) - Kaneva, a virtual entertainment world that unifies the 2D Web with a 3D experience, today announced that visitors to the site (www.kaneva.com) can sign up and have immediate access into the 3D Virtual World of Kaneva. This transition to open beta status follows a successful private beta initiative that began in January 2007. The Kaneva 2D Web site has been live since June 2006. Kaneva is the first to integrate social networking, media sharing and collaborative communities into a 3D Virtual World built for the masses.
