Early this month we reported on an article from the obviously poorly named "The Inquirer" about Guild Wars 2. It seems they were right and the info should be coming in the May issue of PC Gamer, Guild Wars Guru reports.
In 2008, beta testing will kick off for Guild Wars 2, while Eye of the North comes to stores for Christmas. Eye of the North will link the original game with the sequel, thematically.
To be clear, Eye of the North is a traditional expansion. That means players need one of the previous "sequels" (as ArenaNet called them) to use EotN. Since they've been tricky in the past, the article also confirms that Guild Wars 2 is actually a stand-alone game and does not work in conjunction with the original.
Check it out over at Guild Wars Guru.
