BioWare Adopts Another MMO Engine

IGN PC reports that BioWare has adopted the StreamBase's Stream Processing Engine to help build their upcoming, unannounced MMORPG in Austin, TX. With veterans Richard Vogel and Gordon Walton on the project, it is one of the most hyped unannounced projects since Sigil teased fans. Previously, the team had announced that they would use Simutronics' HeroEngine and there is no indication that this announcement changes that as the two seem to do very different things.

WarCry spoke to Simutronics today on other matters and it didn't come up, which further indicates that their deal is unaffected. However, we have sent out requests for clarification to both companies and will update with confirmation soon.
