Report: Blu-ray Spec Changes Cause Terror

Gizmodo has an article on mandated changes to Blu-ray players and how it may change the landscape of the format wars and seriously piss off those most hardcore of fans who bought the earliest of players. The overlords have mandated that new players support key new features, which is good, but the result may be that old players are outdated.

No fear for PS3 fans though, you guys can connect to the internet and update your Blu-ray.
